Collection Data Access

Experimental Collection API

Collection Data

Access our collection data to build apps, games and more. You'll have access to over 5,300 public domain objects currently on view at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

iBeacons

Interested in a location-based experience? We'll share our beacons with you. Either search for a specific gallery or an object and we'll tell you the closest beacon(s) nearby.

Feedback

We're very eager to hear your thoughts and feedback. Let us know what we can do better and we'll get right to it.

Sounds exciting?

We're sharing our work-in-progress version of what could possibly become our collection data access layer with you.
We're in the early stages of building our infrastructure based on internal and external needs. This is where we need your help in giving feedback and making suggestions to what data you would like to see and how you would like to access it.

We decided to share our collection data access layer with you for the duration of our month-long Hackathon 2.0, so you can see what we're working on and support us in building an infrastructure you would actually want to use.

All you need to sign up is your email address and once you click the link in the verification email, you're good to go using our API.
Please note, we're currently limiting requests to 500 requests per 10 minutes, just to make sure everyone can use it.
